Webinar Summary & Highlights

No time to watch the full webinar? Here are the key improvements delivered in MR126–MR129 – and how they help simplify operations, improve service control, and enhance customer experience.

PortaSwitch improvements

Control and monetize extra services

Mike and Anastasiia explained how service providers can now define custom service features directly in products and automatically provision them to external systems. This allows configuration based on product-level parameters, removing the need for manual subscriber-level configuration.

Multiple bundle usage notifications

The platform now supports multiple notification thresholds per bundle item. Service providers can define several notification points (for example, at different levels of consumption) to inform customers about depletion levels at different stages.

SIP over TLS extension

SIP over TLS has been extended to additional call scenarios, including forwarded or transferred calls, calls delivered to a static SIP contact, and calls routed to vendors, enabling secure delivery of SIP traffic for modern cloud communication platforms.

Simplified management of call forwarding via voice application

A new voice application allows end users to update call forwarding destinations directly from their phone by changing only the forwarding number. This enables quick updates without requiring admin involvement while preserving existing forwarding logic.

Callback request from call queue

Callers waiting in a queue can now request a callback instead of staying on hold. The system preserves queue position and returns the call when an agent becomes available, connecting the caller to the agent. This helps reduce abandoned calls and improves customer experience.

Call recording improvements

The system now supports a single recording per call, even in complex scenarios involving multiple transfers or participants. This simplifies access to recordings and improves usability for support and review processes.

Rate code management improvements

Administrators can now add new rate codes to multiple tariffs in bulk. The system can add a new rate code to multiple tariffs that copies price parameters from the specified existing rate, reducing manual configuration effort.

Web Interface Updates

Several administrative pages have been redesigned to improve navigation and usability, including:

  • Phones / CPEs
  • DID/MSISDN Inventory
  • SIM Cards
  • Service Policy
  • Log Viewer & Audit Log

These updates reduce operational complexity and improve access to key information across the platform.

CloudPBX Portal

Extension self-care portal

A new extension-level access mode allows users to manage their own settings including call forwarding, voicemail access, call history, and recordings, directly in the CloudPBX Self-Care Portal. This reduces workload for PBX administrators and improves self-service capabilities.

PortaPhone Updates

Mobile application improvements

New capabilities include presence status visibility, embedded external pages (such as signup flows), and the ability to seamlessly pull an active call to their mobile application from another device (web, mobile, or desk phone) via a single tap without interruption.

Web application enhancements

The web version of PortaPhone now includes instant messaging, voicemail access, call waiting, and outbound caller ID selection for users with multiple numbers.

Add-on Mart Updates

Emergency calling via Bandwidth

Emergency calling integration with Bandwidth enables address validation and registration before activation. Addresses can be defined at the customer, site, or account level to ensure compliant routing of emergency calls.

SMS Gateway for Microsoft Teams

A new SMS gateway allows Microsoft Teams users to send and receive SMS through external SMS aggregators. Usage is tracked in PortaBilling, enabling billing and revenue generation for SMS traffic.

Polycom directory provisioning

A new module enables provisioning of corporate directories to Polycom devices, allowing users to access and dial internal contacts directly from phone interfaces.

SignUp Wizard Special Offer

The SignUp wizard is a guided onboarding tool designed to simplify and speed up service activation through a structured setup workflow. It reduces manual configuration effort and helps users onboard services more efficiently.

The solution is included as part of a special offer that is available through a free subscription until the end of 2026, for those who sign up by the close of summer 2026 (31.08.2026).

What’s Next for PortaOne

The webinar concluded with a look at upcoming developments, including improvements in voice applications, SIP connectivity, and new Add-on Mart modules driven by customer feedback.
